Howlite Owl Pendant

Howlite is a mineral of the borate class. Its name derives from that of its discoverer, the Canadian chemist, geologist and mineralogist Henry How, who described it for the first time in 1868. It has a milky white color with black veins inside. Due to its characteristic of being a very porous mineral it is subjected to a blue color treatment to make it similar to turquoise
